The Western Suffolk BOCES Regional Summer School offers remedial courses for students in grades 6–12 to make up deficiencies in academic work. This wide variety of remedial courses can benefit students with low or failing grades.
Residents within the eight (8) participating districts (listed below) whose children are registered in public, private or parochial schools, grades 6-12, are eligible to attend, with permission of their home school principal or designee.
Non-resident students (in districts not listed below) are permitted to register after all residents are accommodated. Non-residents are required to show proof of immunization and authorization from their home school allowing them to register for specific courses and/or Regents/RCT examinations.
Fee is per seat in a class with 45 hours of remedial instruction.
Regents Review Class
These classes begin August 5. Students receive 8 hours of intensive instruction over eight days.
Regents Exam Only
Exams on the NYS testing schedule will be offered to students who do not attend the remedial instruction classes.
Regents Exam Scoring
Districts that administer the average Regents Exams can have them graded by the Regional Summer School staff.
