Comprehensive Long-Range District Planning

This service provides comprehensive, pertinent information for planning the district's future. Analysis of demographics, enrollment trends/projections, functional utilization of school facilities, and long and short term space alternatives. This service provides five to ten years of planning data and satisfies Section 155.1 of the Commissioner's regulations concerning enrollment and facilities. This update focuses on analysis of district factors previously considered. An update component is also offered to districts who have contracted within the past three years for a comprehensive study.
This update provides current information based on the most recent trends within the district.

This service offers:
- Literature reviews to identify exemplary programs and determine the most efficient and cost-effective ways to implement, monitor and evaluate them.
- Reviews of current curricula to determine whether programs accomplish their objectives.
- Development of measures of objective attainment including tests of student performance, surveys (of students, teachers, or community at large), interviews (with administrators, teachers, students), focus groups (with students, teachers, or administrators), and classroom observations.
- Statistical analysis to determine trends in academic achievement.
- Preparation of evaluation sections of proposals to funding agents.
- Other education research and evaluation projects tailored to the needs of your district.

This service offers access to Consultant Superintendent Hearing Officers for district Superintendent's Hearings as they occur throughout the school year. The Consultant Hearing Officer will conduct hearings, review records and interview witnesses resulting in a written report to the Superintendent with recommendations based on the findings.
