Regional Summer School 2009

Student Information

 

Registration

To enroll in any summer school course or to take an RCT or Regents examination:

  • Complete a Summer School Registration Form (available from your high school guidance counselor after June 1) listing each course, RCT or Regents exam you want to take.
    • Students who have an IEP or special accommodations must indicate so on the registration form and attach the appropriate documentation to the form.
    • Students from non-participating districts must attach proof of immunization.
    • Students taking the Earth Science Regents are required to take the Laboratory Performance Examination as well.
  • Make an appointment with your guidance counselor prior to registration because your completed application must be signed by the home school guidance counselor, principal or designee.
  • Submit the Summer School Registration Form in-person at one of the registration locations listed below. The student will be placed on the appropriate class or examination list(s) at registration.

Notification

  • Exact class times and room assignments will be posted in the host school on Thursday, July 2.
  • Students taking the RCT or Regents examination on a walk-in basis will receive a letter during the first week of August, which will provide all information regarding examination(s).

 

Tuition & Fees

All fees must be paid at the time of registration.

Refunds

No refunds will be made for any reason other than the cancellation of a class for insufficient enrollment.

 

Registration Priority

Priority is given to students residing in participating districts. Registration of all other students (residents from non-participating districts) is contingent on seat availability.

 

Transportation

There is no transportation provided to or from summer school unless indicated by the home district.

 

Immunization

In accordance with New York State Education Law and New York Public Health Law, every student-attending summer school is required to furnish the school with proof of immunization against polio, mumps, measles, diphtheria, and rubella (German Measles).

 

Minimum Registration Requirement

Any course listed will be offered only if there is sufficient enrollment.

 

Textbooks

Course textbooks will be provided by the host district. In some courses students may be expected to purchase other books and supplies at a modest cost. STUDENTS WILL BE CHARGED FOR LOST OR DAMAGED BOOKS.
