SUMMARY:Integrating the Computer Standards into your Existing Curriculum **IN PERSON** presented by Jolynn Sapia - 8:30-2:30pm
DESCRIPTION:The New York State K12 Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards were adopted by the Board of Regents in December 2020. The new standards focus on five key concepts which teachers are being asked to integrate into their curriculum. In this 6 hour course\, we will unpack these new standards\, and focus on the integration of the Learning Standards into curriculum\, instruction\, and assessment design. We will develop concrete lessons that embrace each of the five concepts. You will leave this course with a deeper understanding of each topic\, and how to take existing curriculum and lessons\, and embed technology components into them in order to prepare your students for the full 2024 implementation. Eligible for 6 hours CTLE credit.
