Central Service Technicians are responsible for a variety of vital services throughout a healthcare facility. They are experts in the care and sterilization of surgical instruments in hospitals, surgical centers, physician offices, and more.
The program is designed to prepare entry-level technicians, and may also serve as a review for practicing Central Service Technicians who wish to become certified. The program will focus on the scientific principles of infection control, the cleaning, processing, and sterilization of medical and surgical instruments, storage, distribution, inventory control and patient care equipment management.
