Prepare for Nationally Recognized Certifications

This accredited Medical Assisting program helps prepare you to earn two nationally recognized certifications. Those who successfully complete the program work with patients and medical staff in physicians’ offices, hospitals and clinics. As a Medical Assistant your duties may include running the front office, receptionist functions, bookkeeping, and completing electronic medical records. Assist the physician with examinations, treatments, minor surgery as well as perform EKG’s, simple laboratory procedures and blood drawing.

What are the basic requirements to be a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist?

You must have basic computer skills and receive a successful score on the Test of Basic Adult Education (TABE) which is given several times a year at Wilson Tech’s Dix Hills campus.
