Our Philosophy
Western Suffolk BOCES believes its highly qualified and dedicated employees form the foundation for helping students build successful lives. We hire employees in two basic categories:
Certified Employees
Our instructional and administrative staff are certified by the State Education Department. The type of certification required varies according to the position.
Civil Service Employees
Our non-instructional staff which includes our secretaries, custodians and aides are hired from the Suffolk County Civil Service list. The title of the position depends on the job description.  |
