The Board of Western Suffolk BOCES has adopted policies for the orderly operation of the agency and the effective education of the students who attend BOCES programs. Board members review a proposed policy at a public meeting(s) and then vote to adopt the policy at a subsequent public meeting.

Policies Against Workplace Harassment and Discrimination

Board Policy # 5122.1, Policy Against Workplace Sexual Harassment

Complaints or reports of workplace sexual harassment or discrimination (including harassment or discrimination based upon sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and the status of being transgender) should be reported in accordance with Board Policy # 5122.1, Policy Against Workplace Sexual Harassment. Complaints or reports of workplace harassment or discrimination based upon any characteristic or status protected by applicable law other than sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or the status of being transgender should be reported in accordance with Board Policy #5122, Policy Against Workplace Discrimination and Harassment.
