Updated May 2, 2020: NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo has extended the mandatory closing of all NYS schools through the end of the school year. As a result of this order, all Western Suffolk BOCES special education schools and programs and all Wilson Tech Campuses will be closed through the end of the school year.
Updated April 17, 2020:NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo has extended the mandatory closing of all NYS schools through May 15, 2020. As a result of this order, all Western Suffolk BOCES special education schools and programs and all Wilson Tech Campuses will be closed through May 15, 2020.
Meals Update April 12, 2020:
Breakfast and lunch are available to all families from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Meals can be picked up at these locations:
- JEA Elementary School, 762 Deer Park Avenue, Dix Hills
- Brennan Middle/High School, 550 Mount Avenue, North Babylon
- Manor Plains High School, 200 Little Plains Road, Huntington

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo has extended the mandatory closing of all NYS schools until April 15, 2020. As a result of this order, all Western Suffolk BOCES special education schools and programs and all Wilson Tech Campuses will be closed to until April 15, 2020.
STAFF UPDATE March 20, 2020
The following updates previous direction: Effective Monday, March 23, 2020, all Western Suffolk BOCES employees are NOT to report to work unless directly contacted by their supervisor. This directive extends through the school closing period.
UPDATE MARCH 18, 2020:
Packets of instructional material are being mailed. This material is intended to support students through the extended school closure.
Breakfast and lunch will be available to all families from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during the school closing period. Meals can be picked up at these locations:
- JEA Elementary School, 762 Deer Park Avenue, Dix Hills
- JEA Alternative School, 31 Lee Avenue, Wheatley Heights
- JEA JR/SR High School, 35 Carman Road, Dix Hills
- Brennan Middle/High School, 550 Mount Avenue, North Babylon
- Manor Plains High School, 200 Little Plains Road, Huntington
- Wilson Tech Alternative High School Program, 17 Westminster Avenue, Dix Hills
STAFF UPDATE March 17, 2020
During the school closing period ordered by NYS Governor Cuomo, some school employees who are not contracted and not salaried and have been instructed NOT to report to work may be eligible for immediate unemployment benefits. Only the New York State Department of Labor can determine if an employee is eligible. For information, contact the Department of Labor at 1-888-209-8124 or visit the website at labor.ny.gov.
STAFF UPDATE March 16, 2020:
Beginning tomorrow, March 17, members of Units 1, 7 and 9 should NOT report to work through March 27.
Employees in Units 4 and 6 will be notified tonight of their upcoming work schedule during the school closing period.
Units 2 and 5 employees should report to work according to their regular schedule and will be notified tomorrow as to their work schedules during the remainder of this school closing period.
Unit 12 paraprofessionals and all hourly aides and non-contracted employees are NOT to report during this two-week closing period.
