Suffolk Region PTA Awards Scholarships to Western BOCES Students

Two Wilson Tech students were awarded scholarships by Suffolk Region PTA at the annual PTA Night at Western Suffolk BOCES.

Christina Brown of Amityville, who attends the Physical Therapy Aide program, and Kathrine Zeffer of North Babylon, who attends the Medical Laboratory program, were selected by the Suffolk Region PTA for the $500 awards. The students were joined at the event by their families.

PTA Night, an annual event held at Wilson Tech Dix Hills, feature a runway show with students from the Fashion Merchandising/Design program and a panel discussion of students from a variety of Wilson Tech offerings, who shared their experiences with career and technical education as well as their post-graduation plans. The panelists were: Kristina Smith, Amityville High School,  Early Childhood Education Program; Lauren Mojica, Harborfields High School, Aviation Maintenance Program; Jayden  Reynolds, Wyandanch High School, Digital Film and Video Production; Alexandra Scores, Commack High School, Cosmetology; Angela Murphy, Amityville High School, Veterinary Assisting.
