Using Question Formulation Technique (QFT) in the Science Classroom VIRTUAL Two-hour session facilitated by Lynn DiAndrea – 3:30-5:30pm
This workshop explores how the Question Formulation Technique (QFT) can be used to help students make sense of scientific phenomena through collaborative questioning and inquiry. Participants will engage in the QFT protocol while learning strategies that help students produce, improve, prioritize, and reflect on their own questions to strengthen reasoning and written explanations. Examples across grade levels will demonstrate how QFT can support three-dimensional instruction and assessment by helping students develop a deeper understanding of how to interpret, analyze, and respond to assessment questions. Eligible for 2 hours CTLE credit. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
