Work-Based Learning: Professional Habits for Students VIRTUAL Workshop facilitated by Dana Brown – 8:30-2:30pm
In this session, we will simulate work places in our classroom management strategies, help students identify strengths and interests, while fostering a sense of belonging in a classroom that operates like a functional workplace. Key takeaways from this session will include forming an occupational identity for each student, as well as for each educator, connecting existing classroom units to real-world career opportunities, and identifying manageable service projects. Audience K-12 educators Eligible for 6 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1 consortium seat. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
