The Organized Mathematician: Supporting Executive Functioning in the Math Classroom – ELEMENTARY – VIRTUAL workshop facilitated by Carly Furino & Jacki Beckerman – 8:30-11:30am
Math success depends as much on executive functioning as it does on content knowledge. Students often struggle because of cognitive overload-not ability. This workshop provides practical strategies to reduce that load by strengthening organization, supporting working memory, and embedding self-monitoring tools into daily instruction. Educators will learn how to help students approach multi-step problems with clarity, structure, and confidence. Eligible for 3 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1/2 consortium seat. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
