Designing Classrooms Where Every Learner Thrives: Engagement, Executive Functioning & Inclusive Practices K-12 *IN PERSON* facilitated by Carly Furino & Randall Klein – 8:30-2:30pm

January 25, 2027 @ 8:30 am - 2:30 pm

Today’s classrooms require educators to meet the needs of increasingly diverse learners while fostering engagement, independence, and academic success. This full-day professional learning experience brings together three essential pillars of effective instruction: understanding learning differences, creating meaningful engagement, and embedding Executive Functioning skills into everyday classroom practice. Participants will explore how students learn differently, why engagement is often the missing link between instruction and achievement, and how Executive Functioning skills serve as the foundation for organization, self-regulation, problem-solving, and independent learning. Through practical strategies, real-world examples, and collaborative discussion, educators will learn how to create inclusive learning environments that support all students while reducing the need for constant teacher prompting and redirection. By the end of the day, participants will leave with actionable tools to increase student ownership, improve classroom engagement, strengthen Executive Functioning skills, and design learning experiences that are accessible, meaningful, and sustainable for all learners. Eligible for 6 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1 consortium seat. If district pays, district approved must be confirmed prior to start of session.
