Comprehension monitoring, a skill used by successful readers, can be explicitly taught to boost students’ reading comprehension in language arts and across content areas. Make the most of multiple strategy instruction with high-leverage strategies that students can apply across texts with increasing independence over time. Eligible for 3 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1-1/2 Consortium seats. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
