BUILDING A COLLABORATIVE LEARNING CULTURE: MENTORING AND COACHING PROGRAM 2-Day Virtual Training Hosted by Finland Educator/Consultant, Petteri Elo – 8:30-2:30pm
This program supports educators in developing a more collaborative classroom environment through practical strategies, coaching, and reflection. Participants will learn how to implement collaborative pedagogy, strengthen student communication and collaboration skills, and create meaningful learning experiences while maintaining focus on essential content. Through training, lesson planning support, coaching conversations, and peer reflection, participants will develop the skills and confidence to move beyond traditional teacher-centered approaches and create classrooms where students actively engage, collaborate, and take ownership of their learning. This program is designed for educators who:
• Want to move beyond primarily teacher-led instruction.
• Are looking to build confidence in implementing collaborative learning.
• Want students to engage more deeply while mastering essential content.
• Are interested in using strategies such as Socratic Seminars, Fishbowl Discussions, and Drama Pedagogy but would like guidance on effective implementation. 1. Kick off day: Full day with PD and time reserved for collaboration and lesson planning. 2. Personalized feedback and notes on 3-4 lesson plans created during the program 3. Two 30min personal calls. One pre/during implementation, one after implementation. 4. Sharing best practices: Coming together for half a day.
