ELA State Assessment Preparation Strategies (3-5) 3-hour Workshop *IN PERSON* facilitated by Karen Lucchese – 8:30-11:30am

In this workshop, participants will gain insight into strategies and techniques for preparing students for the ELA State Exam. Educators will review released ELA State assessment questions and explore different options to help students develop an understanding of the assessment expectations, typical question patterns, navigating challenging texts, genre features, and alignment to the short and extended response rubrics. Participants will also learn how to use data to design differentiated, targeted, small group instruction. Eligible for 3 hours CTLE credit. If district pays, district approved must be confirmed prior to start of session. Can use 1/2 consortium seat.
