NY Inspires: Exploring the Local Assessment Strategy Process 3-hour workshop *IN PERSON* facilitated by Nicole Moriarty – 8:30-11:30am

With NY Inspires sunsetting diploma assessment requirements, each district’s local assessment strategy becomes how students demonstrate proficiency in the NYS Learning Standards and the Portrait of a Graduate attributes, whether from the NYS Portrait or a district’s own. This session builds on our work with the Portrait of a Graduate attributes, authentic assessment learning opportunities, and our first look at the learner story as told through a student’s learning portfolio. We will spend the morning taking a closer look at assessment and working through the assessment strategy process together. Districts will leave with a fresh perspective and clear action steps to bring back to their teams. Eligible for 3 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1/2 consortium seat. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
