Tending to the Seasons of Your Emotional Landscape *IN PERSON* facilitated by Corinne Cortes – 8:30-2:30pm
In the rhythm of school life, many forms of loss often go unacknowledged: -personal loss, -roster changes, -collective grief, -school transitions, -burnout, -and the quiet accumulation of emotional labor. This experience offers a compassionate and grounded space to gently bring awareness to these layers and to honor what is often carried silently within the work of teaching. Drawing on established frameworks, expressive practices, and body-based awareness, participants will be guided through reflection, storytelling, movement, and mindful attention. Together, we will explore the grief that is not always named, deepen our capacity to remain present with lived experience as it is, and reconnect with parts of ourselves that can become overlooked in the ongoing demands of educational environments. Throughout the day, educators will be supported in tending to their inner landscape with care and intention, engaging in practices that foster emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and deeper self-understanding. This experience offers space for both acknowledgment and restoration, allowing room for meaning-making, connection, and a felt sense of wholeness to emerge. The intention of the day is for participants to leave with practical tools and renewed awareness to support their personal well-being while strengthening their capacity to meet the demands of education with greater presence, resilience, and compassion. Eligible for 6 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1 consortium seat. Eligible for Guidance Consortium. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
