Successful completion of the Esthetics program at Western Suffolk BOCES prepares you to sit for the New York State Esthetics licensing exam and includes 30-hour Laser Hair Removal certification.
Job opportunities exist in Nassau County, Suffolk County, and New York City for graduates of this Esthetics School. As a licensed esthetician, you can work for yourself or for a spa, major retailer, five star resort/hotel, medical office, or cosmetics manufacturer. Students who want to expand their skills can enroll in BOCES’ hands-on 30-hour Laser Training for Estheticians. This program focuses on the use of medical lasers for Estheticians. Upon completion, you will be able to identify appropriate candidates for laser treatment, counsel the patient on anticipated response to treatment, and demonstrate familiarity with available technology.

Those who successfully complete the Esthetics program are qualified to sit for the NYS licensing exam in Esthetics from the Division of Licensing Services at the New York State Department of State.
