Coaching with Magma Math: From the Data Study to the Live Lesson 3-hour FREE Workshop facilitated by Joey Patterson – 8:30-11:30am
This session is for coaches learning to facilitate math PLCs and to support teachers during instruction. In the first half, you build your facilitation through a simulated grade-level PLC studying one common formative assessment across four classes, exploring how heatmaps, student work samples, and grade-level views can carry a team from spotting a common error to naming a clear instructional decision. In the second half, we move into the classroom for the coach’s other job: supporting a teacher in the moment during a live lesson, where real-time student work and live data help you see which students to check, surface a misconception as it happens, and help the teacher adjust on the spot. Audience: Elementary, Middle, and High School Math Leaders, Coaches, Principals Breakfast will be provided. Please bring your devices. Eligible for 3 hours CTLE credit.
