Meeting the Needs of Every Learner: Understanding Learning Differences & Inclusive Teaching Practices K-12 – 3-hour VIRTUAL workshop facilitated by Carly Furino & Randall Klein – 8:30-11:30am

Students don’t all learn, process information, demonstrate knowledge, or regulate themselves in the same way-and effective teaching begins with understanding those differences. This session helps educators move beyond labels and gain a deeper understanding of how learning differences impact attention, memory, processing, organization, communication, behavior, and classroom performance. Participants will explore practical strategies grounded in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), differentiated instruction, accommodation planning, and inclusive assessment practices. Educators will learn how to proactively design lessons that provide multiple pathways for engagement, representation, and expression while maintaining high expectations for all learners. The goal is simple: create classrooms where students spend less energy overcoming barriers and more energy engaging with meaningful learning. Eligible for 3 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1/2 consortium seat. If district pays, district approved must be confirmed prior to start of session.
