The Authentic Educator: Presence, Perception, and Connection *IN PERSON* facilitated by Lorraine Trentini – 8:30-2:30pm

This reflective and transformative workshop invites educators to reconnect with the heart of their teaching by embracing authenticity-both in themselves and in their students. Grounded in the understanding that no two students think, learn, or communicate in the same way, participants explore how to recognize individual needs, foster genuine connection, and cultivate a more attuned classroom energy. Moving beyond labels and rigid methods, this experience encourages educators to trust their own unique approach and honor what works best for them. Through the lens of archetypes and “outside-the-box” thinking, educators are guided to shift from external comparison to internal clarity-quieting the inner critic, navigating imposter syndrome, and building confidence in their natural strengths. The workshop emphasizes that authentic teaching is not about doing more, but about being present, responsive, and aligned. When students feel truly seen, meaningful shifts occur-without the need for overwhelm or perfection. Participants are invited to reflect on why they began teaching and who they want to be in their role, exploring the connection between being, doing, and having. With practical strategies to remain present amid life’s demands, educators learn to show up with honesty, relatability, and intention-creating space for students to rise, grow, and thrive. Eligible for 6 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1 consortium seat. Eligible for Guidance Consortium. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
