Natural Intelligence, A Personal Reset A Learning Playshop for Educators *IN PERSON* facilitated by Rev Laura Tria – 8:30-2:30pm
Have you noticed how we have been drawn into a ‘smart’ world? At first, remote controls and touch screens were fascinating. We stumbled as we learned to release our ‘fingers from doing the walking’, to learning instead how to just ask the assorted A.I.’s to do the work for us. We didn’t realize that we were slowly, but surely, moving further away from our natural skills. You hold space for curiosity every day. You encourage questions, guide discovery, and support growth-often while navigating screens, schedules, and constant demands on your attention. And somewhere in all of that, you may have noticed moments where learning feels less alive-for your students and for you. This isn’t about removing technology from your life. It’s about rebalancing it with the kind of intelligence that can’t be downloaded-your instincts, your presence, your creativity, your ability to truly connect. This playshop is designed especially for educators who want to feel more engaged, energized, and connected in their work again. Together, we will:
• Revisit hands-on, curiosity-led problem solving you can bring back to your learning space
• Experience playful, low-pressure activities that spark engagement in both students and educators
• Practice simple ways to bring students (and yourself) back into the present moment
• Explore how movement, rhythm, and sensory awareness support learning and focus
• Reconnect with the feeling of teaching from aliveness, not just obligation
• Share meaningful, non-verbal engaging exercises that build classroom trust and awareness No extra prep. No pressure to perform. Just a chance to step out of the noise-and back into what makes engaging with the students meaningful. Eligible for 6 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1 consortium seat. Eligible for Guidance Consortium. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
