From Overextended to Aligned: Everyday Communication Tools for Educators *IN PERSON* facilitated by Corinne Cortes – 8:30-2:30pm
In today’s fast-paced educational environments, effective communication and active listening are essential to building strong relationships and collaborative teams. This full-day learning experience invites educators to explore practical, heart-centered approaches that strengthen communication, deepen trust, and foster meaningful connections with colleagues, students, families, and the broader school community. Through reflective practices, real-life scenarios, and interactive dialogue, participants will explore the skills of active listening, navigating challenging conversations with greater confidence, and setting healthy boundaries. Emphasis is placed on communicating with clarity, compassion, and presence while honoring personal energy and well-being, helping to support resilience and reduce the risk of burnout in demanding educational settings. The day is designed to introduce practical, everyday strategies that educators can adapt to their own professional roles, supporting both personal well-being and sustainable practice. By fostering greater awareness, intentional communication, and mutual respect, this experience seeks to contribute to a more connected, collaborative, and resilient educational culture.
